Networking Chandler’s Ford meets fortnightly for business networking. We currently enjoy a mix of online and in-person meetings. (Please check our Meeting Dates page to see how they fall in the coming months.)
Why fortnightly? Well, in our experience weekly seemed too often and monthly seemed too infrequent.
As well as having members who are seasoned networkers, we also attract other businesses who might not normally consider networking as a way of promoting themselves.
Our meetings are friendly but structured. Each person has a two minute slot to introduce themselves and outline the type of customers they are looking for, followed by time for questions and discussion around the table before breakfast. Make sure you bring plenty of business cards!
Most meetings also have a speaker who gives a 10 minute presentation. We aim for this to be an informative talk rather than a straight sales pitch. There’s also plenty of time before and after the meeting and over breakfast for people to talk informally.
We provide the opportunity for local business people to meet each other at a time (8.00am-9.00am) that will not interfere with the working day and at a price will not break the bank. Our members are mostly one-man bands through to medium sized businesses, but they have contacts in businesses of all sizes.
To encourage attendance and cut down admin members pay their membership subs by monthly standing order. We welcome pretty much any type of business, but existing members have the power of veto if a new applicant’s business type or values seem unsuited to the group.
